Ways To Keep Your Skin Hydrated During The Winter

December 12, 2017

The real fountain of youth is obtained by keeping hydrated. Cold winter months can cause uncomfortable dryness on your face hands and feet. To keep your skin beautiful and hydrated during colder weather months requires both internal and external care.

Drink up! You need at least eight glasses of water a day to keep your skin young looking, hydrated and soft. To add flavor, help with detox and digestion add lemon juice. The best practice no matter the season you should always keep water with you!

A healthy diet is key! By eating healthy you are moisturizing your skin from the inside out. For beautiful skin and overall wellness consider incorporating foods such as salmon, walnuts, olive oil, various beans and flaxseeds. Snack on food with high-water content like fruits and vegetables that will contribute to water and vitamin intake.

Avoid long hot showers and baths it may seem like a great idea when it’s cold out but it can result in over-drying which breaks down your skin’s natural protective oil.

Keep Moisturized! As temperatures drop so does your skin’s moisture. Avoid products with alcohol in it which will contribute to drying out skin.
