New York Fashion Week Highlights And History

September 14, 2017

New York Fashion Week is a series of fashion events held in February and September of each year. Fashion collections are shown to buyers, the public and press. NYFW is one of four major fashion weeks in the world known as the "Big 4," this includes Paris, London, and Milan. The first known New York Fashion Week was created by Eleanor Lambert in 1943. It was called “Press Week” to attract attention away from French fashion during World War II. Press week became so successful American fashion was featured more and more by fashion magazines like the great Vogue which was typically filled with French designs.

We came across captures from the recent NYFW that took place September 7-13. We hope you fashionista’s will enjoy!
