Non-invasive body sculpting treatments are a non-surgical liposuction techniques that uses laser energy, radiofrequency or ultrasound to reduce fat. Devices are applied directly to the skin of the treatment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Low level laser therapy:This therapy emits cold laser energy onto body tissues that are absorbed by fat cells, which are broken down and absorbed into the body.

Ultrasound:Uses intense, focused sound waves to disrupt fat cells that will eventually dissolve gradually over time with a noticeable reduction in size.

Radiofrequency:Delivers controlled radio energy to excess fat areas creating a heat deep within fat cells therefore destroying them. 

Coolsculpting was FDA approved in 2010. This fat freezing technique uses intensely cold temperatures to crystallize and kill fat cells. Fat cells are frozen by applying a device to the area of stubborn pockets being treated.  A protective gel pad is then placed on the surface of the skin and excess fat is pinched into the CoolSculpting applicator. There is no pain, some experience pressure and suction for the first few minutes of the treatment. After that, the target area will become numb to the cold. Treatment estimated to last around 60 minutes, reducing treated fat cell areas by about 20% to 25%.
